New Tsinghua Xuetang

   New Tsinghua Xuetang

The New Tsinghua Xuetang was built to commemorate Tsinghua University’s 100-year anniversary. This architectural masterpiece is designed by an academician of the Faculty of Architecture Design Li Daozeng, and is sponsored by 4 alumni: Chi Yufeng, Xu Hang, Song Ge and Fang Fang.

There are a total of 2011 seats in the main seating area of this three-floor auditorium. It is also equipped with two side stages and an orchestra pit with elevation, with the main stage’s proscenium being 18 meters wide and 11.5 meters high. This auditorium is also equipped with professional lighting and audio systems to cater to large-scale concerts at the highest levels of professional standards and students’ activities to promote academic interactions.

1983 Experimental Theatre

The 1983 Experimental Theatre was established in 2014 and upgraded in 2019 under the donation of Tsinghua Alumini Class of 1983. The 1983 Experimental Theatre, covering approximately 300 square meters, is located at the 3rd floor of New Tsinghua Xuetang. It is equipped with basic stage technical facilities including lighting booms, audio control board, led screen and 202 telescopic stands. The hall is used for meetings, rehearsals and small-size events.

Dance Rehearsal Hall

Dance Rehearsal Hall is located on the 4th floor of New Tsinghua Xuetang, with an area of about 300 square meters. It is equipped with dressing rooms, shower rooms and professional lighting and sound facilities.
